CII Confers EHS Excellence Award on EIL- India

The Confederation of Indian Industry CII (Southern Region) has conferred its prestigious Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Excellence 2017 Award to Eisai Pharmaceuticals India Pvt.Ltd, Vishakhapatnam.

The aim of this award is to recognize, motivate, facilitate and acknowledge extraordinary contribution by organizations to adopt excellent practices in Environment Health & Safety.

About 130 companies from southern part of India participated in this very prestigious award and it’s a matter of pride that EILsecured3rdplace in large scale industries under manufacturing sectorwherein a tough competition posed by major petro-chemical, power, food, cement, refinery, metals and pharma companies.

EIL was also awarded with ‘5 star rating trophy’ towards the commitment in Environment, Health and Safety Practices and policies for the year 2016-17.

CII auditors made an on-site assessment of all the participating industries and evaluated their EHS systems & practices on about 150 parameters – based on the rating among all the contenders in large scale manufacturingsector;EIL qualified for the said awards.

Achieving this CII-EHS Excellence awards and certificates of Merit by EILfor consecutive 5years in a period of 7 years of its operations speaks a lot of its sound EHS systems, work culture, and practices in operations of this company.

On behalf of the company, awards were received by Dr. Sanjit Singh Lamba, Managing Director, Mr. Anand Galphade – Sr. GM Projects, Engg.& EHS and Mr. Ravi Shankar Reddy –Jr. Manager EHS, at a glittering function held at Hotel ITC Grand in Chennai on 19thDecember2017.

EIL is headed by Dr. Sanjit Singh Lamba, Managing Director and under his dynamic leadership; the facility was also selected in 2012 as a Category Winner for “Facility of the year”(FOYA) in Project execution category by ISPE and INTERPHEX.
